I have bootloaded Atmega328-pu using arduino but at that time i didn't had 16 Mhz crystal and i bootloaded it to work on its on chip 8 Mhz oscillator and it worked fine but now i have one 16Mhz crystal oscillator, can i RE-BOOTLOAD it to make it work on this external 16Mhz crystal.
need help...

Yes you can you need only to cange the fuse , see this site for the default arduino fuse http://www.codingwithcody.com/2011/04/arduino-default-fuse-settings/

Thanks ,but can i do this fuse change without using any other hardwere ,can't i do the same using my arduino board.

Yes you can whit a atmel programmer or using the bit banging mode of the ftdi chip on your arduino (  If you have duemilanove) Use this guide and remove the old atmega on the arduino and put the new atmega , now you can see the guide http://www.geocities.jp/arduino_diecimila/bootloader/index_en.html
