On Windows 7 Bootcamp:
Just installed Arduino, connected device.
The program looks like it's going to start up for about 2 seconds and then nothing happens.
Is there an obvious reason this might be happening?
Thank you!

The Arduino IDE is written in Java.  Make sure you have the latest Java installed under Windows.

Thanks so much for the suggestion-- still no luck after downloading/installing Java again, though...

Open your Device Manager and click on Unknown Software. Click on Update Driver and choose Manual Upload. Go to the folder Arduino 1.0 and upload the file Drivers, being sure to click on Upload Subfolders. This will get you the driver.
