I've searched the 'net and these forums, but haven't found any references. Has anyone written code to control brushless 3-phase DC motors with Arduino? I don't have enough programming experience yet to do it myself.

Controlling those kinds of motors would open up a range of possibilities-- you could spin up a hard drive spindle, operate a barcode scanner, or drive the big flat motor from a floppy disk.

My application would be driving the hexagonal mirror from a laser printer. If anyone has any suggestions or information, I would be very grateful (and I'll do a writeup when it's done!)
