Topic: Help with Linear actuator control with 5 positions (Read 892 times) previous topic - next topic

Ok, I'm way over my head now for sure... What I want to do is control a linear actuator with 5 capacitive switches so when I push a switch it moves to a position and stays until another switch is pressed. I need it to know it's position at all times.

Ardunio  board
Arduino Capacitive Touch Sensor Board - 8 Channels
Firgelli  Linear Actuator Control Board
Feedback Linear Actuator

My thoughts are to use the Capacitive touch board to talk to the Ardunio board and Ardunio board to talk to the LAC then to the feedback actuator.

My question is can I use 5 switches with this system and if so would resistance values be the way to do it?

Or am I way over thinking this

Thanks from the newbie
