Stupidly I've managed to break a component off of one of my Yún boards whilst slotting it into an enclosure. Can anyone tell me what the component circled in red is please on the attached pic (and it's spec)?

I believe that is your WiFi antenna. Sorry, I don't know the specs or a source.

Yes, wired should still work, as it's a separate interface. If you don't need the WiFi, I would suggest disabling it: radios generally don't like working without the load of an antenna - it can overload the transistors in the transmitter stage. THIS PAGE has instructions on how to do that.
