Hi all,
i bought arduino duemilanove some years ago. Now would like to make a remote controlled boiler.
The idea is to send a message (SMS) to turn it on and off and to setup the temperature when i'm out.
A few days ago i bought a gsm shield on ebay. this one

but i just noticed on arduino homepage there are some boards specifically designed for IoT projects and i'm wondering if my duemilanove is the right one and if the shield i already bought is compatible with it.
