Yep, in fact it's the only way I have any idea.
Just for a laugh, my first job was as a TA wiring up the looms in the Townsville telephone exchange in '72. All colour coded of course starting with a wad as thick as your arm with probably a 1000 wires and branching out in a tree. The town must be still recovering from crossed lines
