MKR 1000 AAA or AA battery

Hello,

Is it possible to power supply Arduino MKR1000 with AAA or AA battery ?

Thanks

It certainly is possible but normal alkaline AA or AAA will not last too long especially if you have other sensors attached.

Clearly dont use the LIPO port for this approach and stick to using the VIN pin and stay below the specs for the board.

Is there any reason it has to be those type of battery ?

LIPO batteries are very dangerous.
I see some other MKR models works with AA or AAA but this is not written for MKR 1000...

LiPo's Dangerous in what sense ?

The MKR's have a charging circuit built in that prevents overcharge etc.

Almost any board can run from A series batteries but as I said if they are the alkaline type you will probably find yourself changing them quite often unless you start using sleep modes etc etc and you haven't yet mentioned what or how you are using the MKR with in terms of ancillary devices I simply cannot say much more than I have.

Maybe provide a lot more detail ?
