"Build options changed" message always appears now, even when nothing changed

I get the "Build options changed, rebuilding all" message every time I upload a sketch, even when nothing is changed, not even anything in the source. This adds a lot of time to my development process and I would like it to cease. Any idea what is causing this? I am using 1.8.4.

The problem has been fixed already but you're using an outdated version of the Arduino IDE. Please update to Arduino IDE 1.8.8 and the problem should be solved:
