RS232-TTL converter

Hello,

I am having some troubles using the hw Serial1 port on my MKR1000.
I am using a RS232-TTL converter connected on pin# 13 and 14 as I did with Arduino Due.
I am reading bad characters but I am sure about rx-tx pairs and com speed.
Now I am wondering if I still have to use a TTL converter on MKR1000 hw port or if I can stright connect a DB9 port. I can't find anything on internet about this.

Thank you very much
Enzo

I would not connect the MKR directly to a regular COM port !

Stick with a TTL convertor but remember that the serial baud rates on the MKR may have to be specifically defined.

IIRC they are variable to the USB connection ?
There was a post about it maybe in the older MKR section.

UPDATE.

This might be of use.

Hi,

I was wondering if you've solved your issue and how.
I'm looking for an RS232 shield for the MKR Zero. It seems there isn't one for the 3,3V of the MKR boards, is there?
The Converter mentioned in the link is of no use as its from amazon.com and I'm from Europe...

thx
