Sending a message from Arduino to Android via Bluetooth module hc-05

Hello all,

I am working on a project in which I am hoping to create a button that when pressed sends a pop up notification on an app via Bluetooth (which I am hoping to create with MIT app inventor)

I have a bluetooth module hc-05 and an Arduino Nano. I am just starting and I don't have a clue how to begin, please help!

Welcome to the forum. For Arduino, you might find the following background notes useful

http://homepages.ihug.com.au/~npyner/Arduino/GUIDE_2BT.pdf

Bluetooth is simpler than it first appears to be.

Thanks Nick!

I have created an app in MIT App Inventor 2 with some sliders to control an RGB led connected to an Arduino..

so kind of the opposite direction...

but I also do send initial text/message to the phone.

I can try to dig it up if you still need direction. (although there are MANY MIT App Inventor Bluetooth tutorials out there already!!)

Let us know.

Did you succeed doing the project? i also need to do the notification through bluetooth for my final year project. can i ask for your help for my project? taetaehyungb@gmail.com
