I am blinking the Mega on-board LED with the web editor on a Chromebook. Amazing! No drivers. Where is the infamous certificate?
I purchased this Chromebook in 2010, shortly after my Windows laptop caught an ugly virus. The Windows laptop has been off the grid ever since. It's the only absolute, worry-free Windows protection I know of.
With Chrome OS no worry about exploits. Probably fewer that one or two Chrome OS updates a year since I got it. I don't know or care what the OS is. I think it's Ubuntu.
