Cannot burn arduino bootloader atmega328p in linux, but works in windows!!!!

Using Arduino Avrdude, stk500, Bootloader issues

After switching from windows to linux, I tried to burn bootloader atmega328p (which used to work perfectly in windows). But it does not work in linux. I read many tutorials which suggested to put 10uF capacitor between reset and ground. I did that too. Still it does not work!! Currently using the latest arduino 1.8.10 (linux).

Arduino as ISP? Post the log.
Although I'm not using v 1.8.10, it works same on Lnx and Win.
