Generating high frequency tones over 80 kHZ

Hello,

I would like to build a high-frequency sound generator for 80-90 kHz region. Of course up to 90 from 20.

Can anyone direct me to information regarding such a construction and any other tools needed (compressors..and such)?

Thank you,

Do you want to imitate a bat signal?

It's not hard to make an oscillator, especially if you can use a square wave. An LM555 could probably do it or you can use a crystal oscillator with a frequency divider, etc.

But, finding a transducer that can make "sound" at that frequency might be difficult.

Compressors?

This frequency range is mainly the domain of piezo transducers, and usually they are tuned to a small
range of frequencies each.
