Sorry for the late reply.
The operating voltage of the board is 6~12V. 12V is the max operating voltage. on the wiki, it use 9V for example. It is between 6V and 12V.
Sorry about your arduino, however the GSM/GPRS/GPS Shield would not burn the arduino.
