Can be Arduino IDE installed on PC Pentium II?

Procesor Dual Core 1,8 GHz
Memory RAM 1Gb
HDD - 80 GB
Linux Ubuntu

Thank you!

I have the IDE running on a Intel Core 2 6600 @ 2.4MHz, 2G RAM 146Mbyte hard disk under Windows XP SP 3

Thank you, Horace!

I guess the PC uses an USB 1.1., right?

On what Arduino do you connect it, please?

the PC is a DELL OptiPlex 745 with USB 2.0
at the moment it is connected to an Arduino Nano monitoring an experiment

on the PC I use C# with Visual Studio Express 2010 to communicate with the Arduino and display results

Have you tried it? What happened.?

What version of Ubuntu are you using?

My guess is that it should be just fine - the IDE is just a Java program. There is very little to installing it. Download the version you want. Copy it to the directory you want. Extract the ZIP and enjoy.

The IDE will run on practically anything and, with a powerhouse like that, you can't go wrong. If you are having problems, it can hardly be your computer, unless it is actually faulty. Otherwise, you might look to the installation.

Ok, thank you!
