Hi all,
I've downloaded the latest ARduino IDE and the SAMD board definitions, but I cannot see the MKR1000 as a serial device. I am on Mac os X 10.11.3 and also cannot see the device via ls /dev/tty.usb*
Any ideas?

I have a similar problem with Windows 7. I have checked the power supply and seem to be ok.
Using one oscilloscope, after the power on I can see a pulse in the USB_ID (pin 4 USB), but I don't see any other activity in the lines USB_DM and USB_DP (schematic version 25/02/16).
Did you try double tapping the reset button?
thanks for your comment. After two short resets, Win 7 has detected the module. Before, I had tested with different reset combination, but never with this one.
I have double tapping the reset button and works a couple of times but again is not working, any idea?
I had the same problem with MKR1000 on Win10. Very likely it's the USB cable.
I found that some USB cables are meant to simply be charger cables. On the third cable I tried, the MKR1000 immediately showed up.
Try a different cable!
