Equatorial telescope Mount motorisation with ARDUNO and stepper

youtube video link to a short description of how i've modified a manual equatorial telescope mount with arduino + stepper + driver.

Magnifique, very nice. Do you take pictures with this?

sorry for late answer. this was a modification for my son. he uses this mount for naked eye observation & with a 150/700 newton reflector . but it could be easily used with a camera on it . take a look on an other DIY mount in the same rubric.

I used to be very active with an astronomy group and we loved dobsonian telescopes. I'm sure you could easily adapt this for an alt azimuth mount. Keep up the good work, my favorite is the Orion nebula.

i've made a dobsonian telescope based on a 300/1500 skywatcher newton.
here 2 youtube videos of the project:

dobson buiding: https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=mcTPAftXxKU&t=6s
first test: https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=jZkdU0HFKLo

now i'm on an ARDUINO heavy GOTO mount for the 300/1500 newton ( dobsonian mount is a provisory mount to be able to use the newton until the heavy mount is ready .)

the overal idea of the project is to use an ARDUINO uno with SD card reader to have the NGC objects coordinates fille, connected to 2 NEMA 23 stepper motors through CNC drivers and using an I2C Human/machine interface with matrix keyboard + Joystick + LCD screen.
the hardware and software interface is working, now i have to achieve the mechanical parts .

Looks like this is my part of the Forum

Cause I have a good interest in Arduino and Astronomy and I want to work with them together
