I want to get serial output from my program whilst testing a motor connected to Motorshield v3. For that I would need to provide 12V via external PSU to the shield and a USB connection the Due (to power the Due and get serial comms). I have plugged the shield into the back of the Due.
I have cut the Vin track on the back of the shield thus the power to the shield should not interfere in any way with the separate power fed via USB to the Due. So as far as I can see all should be okay if I connect the PSU and the USB at the same time but before I blow up the Due, my PC and who knows what I thought I'd check here in case I missed anything.
