Programming Help for my Dalek,

Components: Arduino Uno, Sabertooth 2x32 Motor Controller, USB Host Shield, Xbox 360 controller plus receiver.

What I'm trying to do is control the dome(head) rotation via xbox controller, to power the motor I've got the sabertooth. I'm also planning to use it to control a lineal actuator to do the up and down motion of the eye stalk. someone show me what I need to do programming wise for this?

Personally, I'd make the eyestalk balanced and use a small servo to move it.
