I have a similar laptop to my roommate. He is able to upload to my board, but I am not. I have watched many videos about checking ports and downloading drivers. I have checked the device manager and found the board on COM3. The port in the IDE is also set to COM3. See pictures. I have downloaded the latest IDE. I believe the problem is my laptop.
