I feel the same way. There's a class where you solder together a duel variable power supply kit (that you buy at the book store and costs $100!), but we can't spring $50 for Arduinos and a handful of input sensors? I can only imagine what would happen if every engineer-in-training on campus had an Arduino and a little know-how.
