WINDOWS 7 Lost Script?

Hi. I had a script I was debugging. My WIN7 computer shut down due to power loss. When it was brought up again, my Script still loads but it is "invisible." I see nothing but a blank screen in the IDE. The file size is 5KB so I think it is still there but has been damaged. Any suggestions for recovering a script in such a case??

Thanks for any help

You can open the scripts in any text editor so try opening it with wordpad or notepad etc.

Thanks. I was afraid of that. I tried opening the file with every text program I could find. I guess the file was destroyed. That really concerns me as this means I lose my file if WINDOWS 7 ever shuts-down automatically :frowning:

Well, there is the save button that you could use...

Maybe you missed my point. I had saved many times over about a week, and I lost the entire file. It is now a Blank screen. :-/

I guess that part of the message was in a white font on a white background.

If you just updated it then that is always a bad thing to do.
If you make major changes then have a new file version.

I have never encountered this problem before but using various file versions will help in future.
