Dear All,
isnt there a CHIP that i can store very small sound effects into it then trigger them
using arduino?

i got five short sound efffects that i used to use DFPLAYER to play them for my prototype.
but now im converting the system into standalone system which i dont like to have a MODULES on it ...

Unless you want to buy several hundred thousands of these chips then no.

Yes other solutions could be to hack one of those sound effects boxes they sell in toy shops if you can find one that has the sounds you need. Like I did here

The other is to use something like Adafruit’s WAV shield or sound maker board. However they are not single chips.

There are 4 bit PCM based chips out there... The last guy I talked to wanted volume in thousands and would only sell the programming software and device if I ordered 10,000 units. Price wasn't bad per piece if there was an actual end use that would justify the volume.
