I'd guess that yes, it is original. The reason is that I've never seen a counterfeit that came with any packaging other than an anti-static bag. Not that the box and base couldn't be counterfeited, but it's not free to do so and the counterfeits I've encountered seem to be trying to compete with the clones on price.
