I don't need a lot of power. I don't want to get into too much detail, but if my loose idea actually works, I will just send power to, say, a potentiometer, which will just send a signal back to another Arduino. The problem I have is that the pot is in a place that can't be reached with a physical connection all the way to it. That is why I need AC to drive the coil.
Without giving details you're pretty much going to be on your own - details are everything in electronics.
