I did the same thing but I found my accelerometer to be VERY inaccurate.. It produced very jerky reponses. Yours appears to be very smooth

Interesting - could it just be an intermittent connection? I have three nunchucks, so I just checked them all -- they seem pretty consistent.
I've got two seperate arduinos, two wii-chucks and two adapters..
I did cheap out and picked up a couple of ebay though - they could just be poor quality?
I expect that if you bought them individually off of ebay, that's probably the case -- someone had a bad one & sold it. Usually Wii owners have several for multiplayer gaming...
See if you can borrow one from a Wii-playing friend.
