The first page (overview) uses a lot of vertical space. However, the most interesting forums (Hardware & Software) are at the end of that page. That means a lot of scrolling everytime I come here. Making the layout a bit tighter would surely help.
And without disrespect for Italy, Spain and France: these forums don't get that much traffic and thus should be at the end of the page.
