i am facing too many problems in installing Arduino IDE.
First i am using windows 10 and it did not show the option of " other devices" or "PORT (COM)" in Device Manager.
After too many efforts, now it is showing other devices but here arduino is showing as Video Controller.
I updated driver too many times. but failed.
PORT COM is still not working.
So anyone having solution.
Please do not post the same question in multiple places. (cross posting)

OK here is a quick guide to re-install the IDE attached.
Lets start there.
Dont forget you may need to use ADMINISTRATOR privileges with win 10 and that you may also have to DISABLE any additional security on occasion too such as antivirus etc.

I did all but still not working.
Even when i attach arduino device with laptop, it didnt blink for power supply.
Does windows 10 DEVICE MANAGER see the device when you plug it in and remove it ?
Should be in COM & LPT, may be hidden in some win 10 installs so check "show hidden devices" if not.
Also check using other USB cables as they are known to fail on occasion especially cheap Chinese ones.
If windows itself does not see the board in ANY WAY then your board may be broken.
