Arduino Board Getting hanged when data is transfered between multiple Boards

hi ,
I have connected Multiple Arduino UNO boards. I am transferring data between them Continuously. After some time ( 10 seconds ) arduino board is unable to transfer data. In one of the site i read that if data is transferred continuously then there are more chances of arduino board getting hanged this issue because data will be stored in buffer before sending it.
can any one provide me some solution to overcome this ?
