I thought they both use CC2541. Did you mean different "firmware"? Try the following:

  • "AT+BOUD1" to set baud rate to 57600
  • "mySerial.begin(57600);" to initialize at that baud rate
  • "AT+HOSTEN0" to enable master/slave
