So if If I get the teensy do I still need the CAN transceiver? It sounds like I do. I saw your boards you made and it looks like you used both. Initially I just want to listen to the STNG bus and redistribute the data, but I'm sure I'll want to end up putting data onto it at some point. It will only be connected to a PC to troubleshoot.
