WiFi Rev2 with no WiFi

I just purchased an Arduino Wifi Rev2 directly from Arduino. The instructions state that it should broadcast an SSID but I don't see one. Am I missing something or do I have a defective board?

The WiFi Rev 2 can be used as an AP, but you need to load the sketch AP_SimpleWebServer from the Examples->WiFiFINA drop down menu. Also, make certain you are running the latest firmware on the Arduino (1.2.1). Without a sketch (program) the Arduino Uno WiFi Rev 2 is just another pretty board :o

Thanks. Apparently the Rev2 doesn't have the built in web based setup that previous boards had?

BTW, the current version is 1.2.2.

Could you please post a link to the instructions you are referring to. Thanks.

Firmware version 1.2.2 is available in the daily IDE build, but not available in the current 1.8.9 build of the IDE, nor has it been announced in this forum. Which leads me to wonder if it's considered stable by sandeepmistry?

Upon further review, it seems that I was referencing the online startup documents for the original Uno Wifi. The Wifi Rev2 doesn't say anything about connecting to WiFi.
