Absolute Encoder Interfacing With RS422

I have done a certain amount of research on interfacing to absolute encoders having RS422 interface and SSI protocol. The encoder in question is a Stick ATM60. The tech documents say Supply Voltage range = 10v ... 32v. I would like to connect this to 24v. I understand the need for an RS422 transmit/receive interface and code to handle the SSI protocol in the micro controller. But, before I just hook this thing up and experiment, I'd like to know a little bit more.

I have not found any reference telling what voltage to expect on the CLk± and DATA± lines for this device or any other SSI RS422 device.

Can anyone explain what this voltage will be and how they reach their conclusion?
