Arduino BT DC Power Source

Hi all,
I am somewhat new to arduino and am trying to figure out if its possible to connect the Arduino BT to a DC power source. I want to make sure before I invest in this solution. Im creating an installation and need to be able to power the arduino via an electrical outlet. I read that using more than 5.5v will fry the board. If I use a 5v DC adapter, what does the Amperage need to be?

would something like this work?

Thanks in advance.

Yes - you will need to connect to the 5V pin, not the barrel jack connector.

Thanks for your reply. So in the case of the sparkfun dc power supply, could I just cut off the barrel jack and connect the wire straight into the 5V pin? Sorry if this is a stupid question, Im just having a hard time understanding how this should work. Thanks.

Yep. Measure first, make sure not to install backwards.
