What does future IOT looks like? Can we slow down technology little bit?!?!

Saw flipping robots, Tesla truck. STEM program is getting too extreme...
Can America slow down technology?

I predict the future of IoT internet of Things 2.0 with super A.I.

"Alexa turn on the light at 9:00 am"
"Alexa turn on garage door when I arrived at home"
"Google water the plant everyday at 8:00 am"
"Cortana closes all windows on tornado"
"Cortana record world series. I'm going on a date"
"Cortana turn on Xbox two and open last saved game"
"Google waymo me at home and drive me to Disney world"

IoO internet of Office 3.0

"Alexa turn on the computer and make sure no one is using my computer"
"Cortana, I have seen sexual harassed at workplace. Can you secure my paper work on my computer"
"Google, can you tesla park on front door near me?" -- self driving car
"Alexa make a quick flower delivery no later than 2:00 pm."

To slow down technology just pull out the plug, turn off the mains, cut the power, etc.

technology will come to a grinding halt when the rolling blackouts start or complete blackouts occur.

I own no smart speakers, i have disable Siri on all the Apple products i own. Siri, is far too annoying.
I do not do Windows so I do not have to deal with Cortana.
Amazon is the evil empire with its assault on Main Street & High Street brick and mortar stores.

When at all possible I shop local stores.
Call me a Ludite, I do not care.

With some of the recent security concerns re: IoT devices / connectivity I'm really not sure at this point. In theory, it's an amazing future to work towards where everything is connected to everything else. The possibilities for good there are endless. I'm just not sure we're quite at the point where there's enough smarts / throught being put into how this might work, and how best to coordinate all the dispirate pieces, which, again, leads to some of the major security flaws we're seeing today. Running before we can walk at the moment, I think. Just my $0.2c!

Why?

I don't think people are any happier now than they were in 1617. And I can't see them being any happier in 2117 either.

Back in 1617 most people did not have overdrafts to worry about, or the possibility of some mafioso turning off the electricity grid or the health service.
