missing tool

i bought leonardo boards
in the box there is a warranty that put all failures of smart project to the buyer of the board
but as long as buyers can't check if the board itself is correct (mem access, instruction set, timing ...) this warranty is not legal !
as long as arduino buyers can't check the product with the arduino software the warranty should be that buyers don't have to use the product in anything to be legal
that is a non-sens !!!

ok there is some test whith this user manip & code
but tests for all arduino boards should be in arduino software without having nothing more than connect to the software
if i make a drone for example
it fly and it fall on the head of someone
even if (s)he is not dead there is a process risk
if what i did is ok the failure is the board
so the warranty will be declared false and the board maker will have to pay
i don't want that :wink:
so i repeat the warranty need full checking of arduino boards on arduino software to be legal
i will test everything myself as soon as possible so no problem with me :wink:

The functions you mention are withing the atmel chip, not "board level." Contact Atmel to see if they have a chip diagnostic. Don't expect them to fit on the chip at the same time as any reasonable application, though.
Also review their policy about the use of their products in "critical" applications, which is probably similar to that of every other component on the board. Don't worry, if your Arduino-based autonomous drone crashes on someone's head, I'm pretty sure that pretty much everyone in the purchase chain will get sued, in the hopes that one of them will have enough money to make it worthwhile.

And they subcontract it to the same programmer somewhere who writes code for far less money.......
