Reusing broken servo

So I broke a servo. The cog wheels lost some cogs. My idea is to reuse stuff. I might try to detach the motor, though I have no idea what I could do with it. But the 5k potentiometer might be handy. I'll solder the servo wires directly onto the potentiometer. The servo horn will turn the pot, and I can plug the wires directly to my sensor shield. Then there's the circuit, which is kind of a motor driver. Might be handy somewhere.

I guess you could also use the small DC motor for a vibrating alert on something?
