Power supply for DC motors

I have to feed 6 DC motors, I'm using the L289N module to control the motors, I'd like to know which battery to use to give enough power to my engines and maybe if you can post a link to buy it.
Thanks in advance.

Do you have a link to the technical info for the motors?

Remember that an L298 drops 2V as a minimum, and iirc upto almost 5V at higher currents- check the datasheet for the exact values. You have to factor that loss into what you supply to the L298 so the motor gets enough.

For low voltage motors that loss is of course proportionally more than for high voltages, and the L298 being old technology from perhaps as long ago as the 1970s is not best choice for low voltages.

They're also bulky: that huge heatsink is a pita, and for 6 motors you'll need 3.

Unless you already bought them, have a look here for more modern, smaller, more efficient alternatives.

Ok thank you. I have also a TB6612FNG module, but I don''t know how to attack with arduino and external battery, and if I have to change the softwere. Can you give a hand please? Sorry for the delay!
