1: I'm connecting my Arduino to my pc via USB
2: I run MissionPlanner (the Latest version)
3: I select the "Initial Setup" tab in mission planner > Install Firmware > then i select the Firmware: ArduCopter V3.1 Quard
4: It asks me "Is this an APM 2+" i select no and then after it "detects board" i get this error "check port settings or port in use" and a whole lot of other stuff as shown in this image below:

Does it work in the arduino IDE? if it does then you would be better contacting the maker of the program, or using there forum. If not, have a look at the COM ports on your system (device manager) and see what one is added when you plug in your R3
Thanks for the reply, Yes it does work in the IDE...100% functioning in the IDE
I confirmed that COM3 is the correct port that my Arduino R3 is connected to.
Also, do you think i'm doing anything wrong?
my setup is pretty much just the Arduino board connected via USB with no components, no motors no nothing connected to it.
Is this right?
K5CZ: Access to the port COM3 is denied means, that the port is used by another running application. Close all other applications or reboot the computer.
Thanks for the post
I tried closing all other Applications, but nothing seems to solve my error
I can't upload a firmware to my Arduino, Nor can I click "Connect" in mission planner
I have a GPS module hooked in to my Arduino but when I try to connect to Mission Planner, the connection fails.
Somebody knows if it is impossible to connect Arduino Uno to the Mission Planner, or anybody have another idea of how to get GPS telemetry data into a Ground Station using Arduino (Any Arduino), not a ArduPilot, because it's for skydive not drone?
