Wooden chess-playing robot based on Arduino Uno

Hello! This is my new Arduino-project - the chess-playing robot. It's powered by Arduino Uno that receives commands from an Android smartphone via Bluetooth. This phone lies above the chessboard and fixes current position of figures. It is also analyzes position by using the special chess engine(Magnum chess) and calculates the angles for robot's servos.

I have large topic about this robot, but it's only in Russian (Google translate can help you). If you are interested in this project or you have some questions, i will try to answer them

Really nice project. K+ for it and especially for "Система захвата фигур".

It looks beautiful :o awesome choice of finish! However, wouldn't that absolutely destroy the batterylife of the phone? And, how can it tell what pieces are from the top? Does it just assume, based on what square is no longer occupied?
