Sketch wont open! Help!

Using Arduino IDE 1.x

Freshly bought Uno board(First arduino).
Windows 7 using Arduino 0022 software
Drivers are all installed, the board is recognized
L light is blinking and the On light is solid

Connect via the USB connection, attempting to open the Arduino.exe file and no response. no obvious applications related to arduino or sketch in my Task Manager

Download and unpack the IDE again, sounds like corrupted download.

the new IDE dl didnt work out, i also tried it with 21 but i did the same thing on my ubuntu boot and everything worked fine.
