Pressbutton to Capture Image Esp32 Cam

Hello all,

I trust your kind response would be of great help to me.
I am having issues with doing image capture on real time with my esp32 cam module using a press button.
I want it that, if a button is pressed anytime, esp32 cam should capture an image. I created a function to respond to this press button.

Meanwhile, I modified the code from Randomnerd to achieve this purpose.

Find below my sketch..

The problems I am encountering are:

  1. The system response to the press button only twice after which it's automatically goes to sleep even when I didn't ask it. To capture further image, I must restart the system. This isn't what I wanted.

2)It always fails to mount the SD card attached. I am using a 16G card of class A

How IS the switch wired? INPUT_PULLUP makes for much simpler wiring.

If you fail to mount the SD card, why do you still attempt to write a file to it, in snapShot()?

I am actually using an external pull down resistor to to wire up the button switch.

That print output is for debugging purpose

It's a normal settings parameters, the idea is I want to know the exact condition of the system. I refused breaking so that I can see more error

Check this code out, might help... takes a picture when IR sensor detect someone and then sleeps...

In my case I use the RCWL-0516 (Microwave Radar Sensor) to detect anyone in the vicinity and as the output go hight on detection, I change the wake up to positive trigger in the code..

Edit this line for wake-up on positive or negative going trigger, 0 = negative, 1 = positive
esp_sleep_enable_ext0_wakeup(GPIO_NUM_13, 1);

Even if this is not exactly what you want, check the code, it may prove useful...
