Just and FYI, if anyone is getting this error message:

"
Unplugging the Rx (Port 0/Rx and Port 1/Tx) in the Digital bank fixed my problem.
Hy i am new here. I have the same problem, but i cannot understand the reply resp. i have no plugs in the Rx

I do hav the same problem.
the TX and RX pins are not plugged with anything yet,this error appears.
I use Arduino ATMEGA 8 .It used to work good before days but not now.
I hav checked the com port ,hav set right board and i use arduino as ISP.
Pls help me
