Using the Hardware Quadrature Encoder Channel on the DUE

I wondered what would be the limit of the hardware quadrature decoder in speed mode.....

I had to simulate an expensive 10000 PPR quadrature encoder ( ~ $700) running at 4200 RPM and, you know what ? I was not able to make it crash even at 42000000 edges per second ....

Note: I did this test by using TC_SMMR instead of the PWM peripheral to simulate 2 square waves 90° out of phase.
