Many collaborations use language or location to help with the develoment...
Suggestion: How about OP's put your [Country-City] in the subject.
Then any local helpers may be able to work with you on the 'real hardware' if necessary.

I think it's a good idea if you MUST have local collaborators. Otherwise it can discourage people from offering help if they think only local people will be accepted.
It's a big planet with skilled people everywhere!
My preference is to provide a complete, assembled system because then I know proper components are selected, I know what was used in case there are future changes, and I can test everything and make sure it works. Then I ship it where ever it has to go.
yeah - agree on all points.
A lot of projects that fall through to here - come from newbies that get in over their head - really need a mentor, but in many cases, working over the shoulder on their own project would help them learn and experience a lot.
Remote does work - if the student knows what they want, or are doing.
In my case for example - I’m semi-retired, and would be happy spending half a day each week holding hands for fuel costs, or a bit more if you’re trying to develop a commercial product!
If you are looking for a local mentor, why not put you location into your message?
Perhaps the ‘helper’ doesn’t want to open 247 threads.
