I need to find out whether it is possible if there is a small contactless water flow sensor that is able to detect the amount of water coming out from its source (a water tap in my case). If there is, let me know!

There is a range of hall effect flow sensors on ebay for a few dollars. Maybe that is what you mean by "contactless".
