Hi, i created a poorman's led matrix of 4x4 with only one shift register (74HC4094) and 16 led's :slight_smile: only 3 wires to the arduino for full 16 led control It can also display some 4x4 font's i created with a little program i also made - you can find more info on my blog entry.

That's pretty cool, although I admit that without those captions I would not be able to read the letters. Do you want to go ahead and make a bigger one?
