Arduino robot shows retired - Is there an alternate?

https://store.arduino.cc/usa/arduino-robot shows this as retired. Is there an alternate for someone who wants to start with robotics?

There are tons of alternative Arduino robot platforms, just none actually manufactured by the Arduino company. You can find them on Adafruit, SparkFun, eBay, Aliexpress, etc.

I haven't used any of them so I can't make a specific recommendation. Perhaps someone else can. Do you have any particular area of interest? There are wheeled "rover" type robots. There are legged robots (e.g. hexapod). There are robotic arms.

I think the Arduino robot was actually not a good choice for a beginner because it was so expensive that it would discourage them from experimenting because of the danger of damaging it.

Thanks @pert. I will check out the other sites you have mentioned.
I am considering a robotic arm mounted on a mobile device. I am looking for a low cost device that will help me with learning concepts.

Hi,

DISCLAIMER: Mentioned stuff from my own shop...!

But look at this as one simple low-cost possibility:

The step-by-step build sections and discussion is here:

We've made many hundreds of these for schools and universities, and hobbyists. Usually they work out well.

Thanks @terryking228 for your suggestion
