OK, so ive followed all the instructions on how to install arduino, I have the FTDI drivers, but when i write my code in and tried run the serial port to see whats happening its greyed out. Ive looked on google for solutions but none seem to work for me, I tried deleting RXTXcomm.jar as recommended in a forum and that didnt work either. ANy ideas?
Didn't you say your Arduino is UNO? Uno doesn't have a FTDI chip. Drivers for Uno are in arduino-0022/drivers/ folder.
Yes it is an UNO, i went into Devices and printers and it recognises the arduino board but it says the drivers arent installed for it and the tab to update the drivers is also greyed out. How do i go about installing drivers for an UNO board? I already tried extracting the contents of the drivers into the driver folder
